I (Norman Ross Weichel) was born March 10th 1979 in Parry Sound, Ontario, Canada.

I am engaged to my beautiful girlfriend of ten years who is an X-Ray Technologist. We have two cats named Lily and Willow, a crawfish named Blueberry, and a bowl of fish.
I moved to London in 2001 to start a band and go to College. I studied multi media design and production for 2 years and also spent a year working on arts and science. Most of the time I spent in London was jamming with many friends. My apartment was right across from the college so people would always be hanging around. It was through the college that lead all of Slangdoll's members together one way or another.
Formed Slangdoll with Josh Jenkins (JJ) on drums, Scott Williams (Yamzz) on bass, and Matt Grady on guitar in 2004. JJ and myself got together in 2002, however we dodn't complete the bands line up until Febuary 2004. JJ and I starting writing Container Poison early 2003 and recorded the bed tracks January 2004 at the Idol Lounge in Toronto. After one year and three months, Grady left the band and Slangdoll went on as a 3 piece until Ivanov completed us in August 2006.
I've had the privilege of going to see Tool, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins and many more at lollapalooza in 1993. Since then I've been to see hundreds of bands at every large or small event I could get to. I've been to some very memorable shows with JJ including Cradle of Filth, Arch Enemy, Killswitch Engage, and Billy Corgan. Not to mention the many amazing bands we as Slangdoll have been involved with onstage.
I believe that a great band is one that can tap into many different genres and capture the hearts of kids. A band must be original and interesting. The image created through advertising, promotion, websites and videos are really important.
